Description:

Washington University in St. Louis, Department of Psychology and Linguistics
Program, is seeking candidates for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position
in Psycholinguistics/Linguistics to begin in Fall 2016.  Teaching
responsibilities will include courses such as Introduction to Linguistics,
Phonetics, Phonology, Syntax, and Semantics in the undergraduate Linguistics
Program, as well as other mutually agreed upon courses. The successful
candidate will be expected to conduct research, publish in peer-reviewed
journals, advise students, and participate in department governance and
university service.  A Ph.D. in Psychology or Linguistics is required at the
time of the appointment. All areas of specialization in Psycholinguistics and
Linguistics will be considered. However, we are especially interested in
candidates with a strong empirical research program that can bridge the two
fields. The primary qualifications for this position are demonstrated
excellence in empirical research and teaching.  We especially and strongly
