Subject: Call for Guest Editors: Journal of Research Design and Statistics in Linguistics
Dear Researchers,
We are inviting proposals for the special issue 2.2 of the Research Design and
Statistics in Linguistics and Communication Science Journal to be published in
December 2015. With this call for proposals we are looking for (a) guest
editor(s). If you are interested in becoming guest editor, please submit a
proposal that should have the following rubrics:
(1) name(s) and affiliation(s) of the guest editor(s)
(2) topic of the special issue
(3) rationale for the topic (1 page maximum)
(4) production timeline (containing such dates as deadlines for CFP, authors,
reviewers, revisions)
(5) short CV of each guest editor (with particular emphasis on published
research on the topic of the special issue and editing experience) (2 pages
maximum per guest editor)
(6) draft Call for Papers for the special issue
We are particularly interested in proposals on the following topic areas:
empirical language research, information retrieval, text mining, methods of
measurement, computer-assisted content analysis, fieldwork in linguistics,
translation studies, authorship attribution, language testing, information
extraction, questionnaire design, interview methods, forensic linguistics,
text classification, corpus linguistics, natural language processing, or
textometry.
All proposals will be evaluated by JRDS's editorial board and proposals on
other topics will be considered.
Enquiries as well as the proposal can be sent to the editors Stefan Gries
(stgries at gmail.com) and Pascual Cantos (pcantos at um.es).
The submission deadline for formal proposals is April 1, 2015.
