The purpose of this conference is to bring together scholars to share original sociolinguistic research that analyzes Spanish data or data from contact situations between Spanish and other languages.

Call for Papers:
Call deadline: 1 October 2015
We invite abstracts for 20-minute talks (plus 10 minutes for discussion) on any aspect of sociolinguistic research. In particular, we look forward to receiving studies dealing with synchronic and diachronic approaches to language variation and change, contact linguistics, bilingualism/multilingualism, Spanish in the US, pidgin and creole languages, language policy and planning and language ideologies. Both quantitative and qualitative research is welcomed. Papers and presentations can be delivered in Spanish or English.

Proposals are invited for individual papers and posters.
Individual Papers: Papers can be presented by one or more authors within a twenty-minute period, with additional ten minutes for discussion.
Posters: A block of time will be devoted to one-on-one presentations of posters.
Abstract Submission Guidelines:
Abstracts must be one page in length (in addition to references).

Deadline for receipt of abstracts: Thursday, October 1, 2015.
Notification of acceptance: No later than Tuesday, December 1, 2015.
Please indicate whether you want to be considered for a paper presentation, a poster, or both. Submissions are limited to one individual and one joint abstract per person.
