Subject: New Book Series on Romance Languages
Brill is starting a new series which will publish structural overviews of the grammars of individual Romance varieties. This series, edited by Roberta D’Alessandro, will publish descriptive grammars, both diachronic and synchronic, of minor Romance languages and dialects, as well as overviews of particular areas of the grammars (e.g. phonology, morphology, syntax) of these varieties. Volumes may be written within a specific theoretical framework, but they must at the same time conform to the general principle of providing a descriptive account. The focus of the series is on documentation and description of Romance varieties, not the formal analysis of individual linguistic phenomena.
If you have any ideas for publications in the series, or if you have in mind any grammars that are out of print which you would like to see republished, please contact the publisher Irene van Rossum (rossum at brill.com).
