Calls for Papers: 

2016 Conference: Friday, March 4, 2016 at Saginaw Valley State University, University Center, Michigan  

You are invited to submit a 200 word abstract of the paper or research you wish to present at the conference.

Areas that might be of interest to linguists: Rhetoric and Composition, Language and Literature, Communication, as well as, French & Italian Language and 
Literature, and Spanish Language, Literature & Culture.  

Procedures: 

Abstract submission deadline is 12/3/15.
Each author can present only one time at conference.

Submit your abstract at themichiganacademy.org. 
Select “Submit your Abstract” on the left toolbar.

Presentations are up to 20 minutes each, followed by discussion. 

Section chairs will review abstracts and notify authors of acceptance in mid-January. Expectations for papers and presentations vary by section. 

Proposals for special panels or roundtables are invited. 

Posters displaying graphical materials associated with research are welcome. Posters from all sections will be displayed in one, multi-disciplinary session.

Undergraduates may present faculty co-authored or sponsored papers (section leaders may require proof that a faculty sponsor reviewed paper/research).. 
Faculty co-authors or sponsors must become paid members of the Academy and should attend the conference. 	

Publication: 
Abstracts of papers presented at the conference are published in an issue of the Academy's journal, the Michigan Academician. Full papers may be submitted to 
the journal at any time.  Note: papers do not have to be presented at the conference to be considered for publication. Manuscripts can be submitted at
