Subject: Parliamentary Briefing: Forensic Language Analysis
On 30 September, the UK Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology published a briefing on Forensic Language Analysis.
The briefing is aimed at British MPs and Peers, however, is also publicly available. It gives an overview of forensic linguistics and phonetics, the procedures used in the UK, and the issues surrounding these procedures.
The briefing was researched by Sarah Foxen, a PhD candidate in French linguistics at the University of Exeter. Expert contributions came from numerous academics, practitioners and industry specialists based in the UK.
