Abstract:

Regional varieties of the German language have undergone major change in the course of the 20th century, stimulating major research projects employing diverse theoretical and methodological approaches. This volume presents relevant projects from the past two decades to provide a comprehensive overview of contemporary regional forms of the German language and research about regional variation. It also offers perspectives for future research.
