Description:
The Erasmus Mundus PhD Program International Doctorate for Experimental Approaches to Language And Brain offers an outstanding interdisciplinary, laboratory-based 3-year doctoral training to its candidates to study structure, processing and foundations of human language integrating interdisciplinary approaches.
The IDEALAB program is a co-operation and mobility program of 19 EU and non-EU institutions in 8 countries from 3 continents. It aims to enhance quality in higher education and to promote intercultural understanding through co-operation between universities on one hand side and science and institutions on the other side.
The program pursues its aims by organizing high-quality summer- and winter schools and courses, by enabling PhD-candidates from around the world to engage in postgraduate studies at European universities, as well as by encouraging the outgoing mobility of European PhD- candidates towards Non-European countries.
Successful applicants will be enrolled as EMJD PhD candidates and will receive a grant from the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) as an employment contract.
Doctoral candidates on an Erasmus-Mundus grant will be appointed as employees for three years at the University of Potsdam from where they are sent to their home and host institutions. The employment salary (€2,800 per month) includes health insurance, social security and pension rights.
