This Position Is Available for Remote Work. 

We are looking for a phonologist/phonetician to help us with various
annotation tasks in Japanese, including the following:

- Transliteration of kanjis into kana
- Phonemic transcription
- Annotation of prosodic and accentual characteristics of speech
- Carrying out listening tests to report incorrect output in our voices
- Proofreading text to ensure lack of typos or undesirable content.

Basic qualifications:

- Degree in linguistics, with focus on phonetics/phonology
- Native level proficiency in Japanese (standard Tokyo dialect)
- Able to communicate in English

Additional desirable qualifications:

- Comfortable with command line interface in *nix environments
- Knowledge of regular expressions
