Department of Education, the conference focuses on the teaching and learning
of languages at community colleges, and on language education in the various
professional and educational communities that connect to community colleges.
Call for Papers:
The inaugural Community-College-Language conference focuses on two common
intermediate-range goals of community college students: transfer to 4-year

presentations that consider the ways that community college world language
courses, programs, and departments can and do help their students prepare to
enter these sectors of U.S. society. Topics may include:
- Articulation agreements between community colleges and four-year colleges
- Assessment and alignment with institutional/national/international standards
- Internships and externships
- Community- and service-based language learning
- Language for Specific Purposes
- Program design
- Curriculum design
- Pedagogical materials
Proposal submission deadline: 14 February, 2016. Online submission at

All languages are welcome.
