Special Qualifications: The candidate must be a native speaker of a rhotic variety of English for reasons of transcription.
Interest in articulation, phonology and language teaching, or interest in exploring a career in linguistics embedded in the areas of speech-language pathology, neuroscience, psychology or audiology.
Description:
The intern will collect, transcribe and measure speech and ultrasound image
recordings of children and adults learning to produce late-developing sounds
in English and be part of team analyzing and reporting data for publication.
The site is a speech pathology clinic at a university. This is a good
opportunity for a linguistically trained student to explore a career in
clinical linguistics.
