Call for papers: Spanish & Portuguese Linguistics
The Spanish Linguistics Graduate Students at Arizona State University are
honored to invite you to our fifth annual Hispanic & Luso-Brazilian
Linguistics Conference. The conference offers an opportunity for graduate
students of Spanish & Portuguese linguistics to share their current research.
We are pleased to host the following keynote speakers:

Border studies, Hispanic linguistics, Portuguese linguistics,
Sociolinguistics, Portuguese/Spanish contact, language variation,
bilingualism, second language acquisition

Acquisition of Spanish as a second language: mood, study abroad, learning
theories, CALL; Computational Linguistics: corpus based approaches to language
analysis, learner corpora

Call for Papers:

The conference calls for linguistic analyses of all Spanish & Portuguese
varieties, as well as research on language pedagogical practices. Empirical,
historical or theoretical studies are welcome. Topics may include, but are
not limited to:

Participants should send their abstracts to asulingconf at gmail.com. The subject
of the email should read ''Conference Abstract.'' Please include the following
information in the body of the email: Title of presentation, an Abstract of
the presentation (250 word max) in English, Spanish or Portuguese, Author &
School, and Email address.
The deadline for abstract submission is February 26, 2016, at which time
accepted presenters will be notified. Presentations in Spanish, Portuguese, or
English will be 20 minutes long, followed by 10 minutes of discussion &
questions. The conference registration fee is $35 for accepted papers
