Meeting Description:
The Department of International Professional and Scientific Communication of
Tambov State Technical University (Russia) is proud to announce the 3rd
International Research Conference “Teaching English in Professional
Context: Entering Global Community” to be held on 11-13 May 2017 in Tambov
State Technical University, Tambov.
The mission of the conference is to seek the ways of promoting advanced
methodology of teaching English for professional purposes in Russia with a
view to enhance the promotion of Russian science and engineering in the global
community.
The scope of the conference is theoretical and practical aspects of English
language teaching to the students of universities, vocational colleges, and
further education programs in the framework of life-long professional
learning.
Registration fee – 800 roubles (includes participation in the conference and
publication of a paper).
Call for Papers:
The organizers welcome speaker’s proposals in English. Authors are also
required to indicate the topic to which the abstract belongs.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
- Academic curricula for teaching English in professional context
- Trainer training for teaching English in professional context
- Linguistics of English for professional communication
- Technology-based language instruction
- Overcoming cross-cultural barriers in professional communication
- Integrating professional content and English language learning
- Challenges of academic writing
- Project-based teaching of English in professional context
Key Dates:
1 February 2017 : Proposal submission
15 February 2017 : Proposal acceptance notice
1 March 2017 : Registration deadline for authors to have their paper included
in the proceedings
All papers must include an abstract (up to 200 words) and keywords (up to 7
words or phrases, alphabetical order). The paper body must contain an
introduction, main sections, a conclusion and a list of references. The length
of the paper must not exceed 5 pages.

Papers will be published on the conference website and in the conference
proceedings on a CD-ROM with ISBN indexed in the Russian Science Citation
Index system (elibrary.ru).
