Meeting Description:

The Department of Modern Languages and English Studies and the Language
Acquisition Research Group (GRAL) at the University of Barcelona, under the
auspices of the International Association for Task-Based Language Teaching
(IATBLT), would like to welcome you to the seventh Task-based Language
Teaching  Conference which will be held in Barcelona on 19-21 April, 2017.

The theme of the conference is ''Tasks in Context''. The conference will bring
together researchers and educators from many different countries around the
globe who will be talking about how tasks are being used in different contexts
around the world, and how contexts may shape tasks and tasks may shape
contexts.


Call for Papers:

We are calling for proposals for the 7th TBLT Conference ''Tasks in Context''
that will take place at the University of Barcelona from 19-21 April, 2017.

Submissions are invited for individual papers, show and tell, workshops and
colloquia.

Types of submissions and guidelines:

1) Individual papers (20 minutes for presentation + 5 minutes Q&A) and show
and tell (10 minutes + 5 minutes Q&A. A submission should include:

- an abstract (300 words maximum, excluding references)
- a brief summary for the conference programme (50 words maximum)

2) Workshops (1-hour session) and colloquia (2-hour session. Convenors should
provide:

- an abstract providing an overview of the entire workshop or colloquium (350
words maximum, excluding references), and abstracts of the individual papers
in the colloquium (also 350 words maximum excluding references).
- a brief summary for the conference programme (50 words maximum)

All proposals should be submitted on the correspondant section of the TBLT
website (http://tblt.org/conferences/2017/abstractsubmission/)
