Assistant Professor in English Language Studies / Applied Linguistics /

The Department of English is now inviting applications for the position of
Assistant Professor in English Language Studies/Applied
Linguistics/Sociolinguistics.
The appointee will be required to (a) teach subjects at the undergraduate and
postgraduate levels; (b) contribute to curriculum design; (c) supervise
student projects; (d) conduct research; and (e) undertake administrative
duties.
Applicants should have (a) a PhD degree; (b) a teaching qualification; (c)
teaching experience at tertiary level; (d) an excellent track record of
published research; and (e) excellent English communication skills.
Remuneration and Conditions of Service:
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment
will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is
