Job Announcement: Full-time Permanent Position in the Department of English
Language and Literature, School of Education, Waseda University, Tokyo, Japan

Field of specialization: English Linguistics (phonology and/or morphology,
including psycholinguistics and acquisition  research in addition to
theoretical and descriptive work)

Teaching responsibilities: (a) Theoretical courses including Phonology,
Morphology, and Introduction to Linguistics; (b) English

Positions: one (Assistant or Associate Professor)

Application deadline: Documents must be received by Monday, May 23, 2016.

Employment begins : April 1, 2017

Requirements: Ph.D. or equivalent scholarly achievements; ability to conduct
classes in English; ability to perform administrative duties in Japanese

Salary, etc.: in accordance with the regulations of Waseda University

b. Three representative major research contributions (for a single-author
book, one copy; for book chapters or articles, four copies), at least one of
which must be in English. Please indicate on the List of Research and
Educational Contributions (b. above) the three items you are submitting.
c. Copy of the diploma or degree certificate for your highest-level degree
d. Finalists invited for interviews will also be required to submit two
letters of recommendation.

Selection Procedure
a. Document screening, with notification of finalists around the middle of
June
b. Interviews of finalists (Saturday, July 16, 2016) [transportation and
accommodation costs to be borne by the applicant]
