Dear LINGUIST List Subscribers, 

LINGUIST List’s Fund Drive 2016 is well underway. We are on our way to hitting
the $30,000 mark soon; will you help us reach that number today by donating?
We are so thankful for all of the donations that have come in during the first
three weeks on Fund Drive, but are still a long way from our goal of $79,000.

As a reminder, we have several donation benefits you can enjoy no matter how
much you donate. Along with supporting LINGUIST, you can use your donation to
help your university, business and subfield in our challenges! 

In our University Challenge, we currently have representation from 178
universities from all over the world! So far, three universities have donated
over $1,000 each! 

1. University of Washington - $3145.00 (54 donors)
2. Indiana University Bloomington - $2751.00 (25 donors)
3. Stanford University - $1075.00 (12 donors)

Since our last update, we have received donations from University of

University of Oregon, Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla, University of

London, Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, University of Chicago,
University of South Carolina, Indiana University Bloomington, Ball State
University, University of Florida, Michigan State University, Western Kentucky
University, and the University of Edinburgh!

which is a registered 501(c) Non Profit organization. Our Federal 
Tax number is 45-4211155. These donations can be offset against 
your federal and sometimes your state tax return (U.S. tax payers only).

Many companies also offer a gift matching program, such that 
they will match any gift you make to a non-profit organization. 
Normally this entails your contacting your human resources department 
and sending us a form that the eLinguistics Foundation fills in and 
returns to your employer. This is generally a simple administrative 
procedure that doubles the value of your gift to LINGUIST, without 
costing you an extra penny. Please take a moment to check if 
your company operates such a program.
