Description:

The Department of Applied Linguistics makes every effort to financially
support doctoral students.

Funding comes in the form of competitive Graduate Assistantships. These
assistantships provide doctoral students with funding, tuition credit, and
opportunities to work as either research assistants, teaching assistants and
to teach classes under faculty supervision. In addition, students receive a
stipend for the length of their 9-month contract. Funding is possible for up
to four years. Continued financial assistance is dependent upon satisfactory
academic and assistantship work performance during the previous semester(s). 
Individuals interested in graduate assistantships should indicate this
interest on their graduate application and will be contacted with further
details.
