Description:
The Department of Classical and Modern Languages and Literatures at Texas Tech
University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor
position in French Linguistics with a specialty in Second Language Acquisition
to start in Fall 2017. The candidate will coordinate first- and second-year
French, and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in French linguistics,
Applied Linguistics, and Second Language Acquisition. Native or near-native
fluency in French and English is required. The successful candidate will have
a strong record of scholarship and the proven capacity or clear potential to
bring externally sponsored research to Texas Tech University. Service duties
include program-building, as well as commitment to extra-curricular
activities. Service to the department, college, and university is expected.
Must have a PhD in hand by beginning of appointment.
