Doing Sociophonetic Research is a three-day workshop on the sociophonetics of
speech production and perception, with a strong focus on novel methodological
approaches and data. The workshop will take place in Bozen-Bolzano on the 8, 9
and 10 of February 2017.

Doing Sociophonetic Research is a three-day workshop on the sociophonetics of
speech production and perception, with a strong focus on novel methodological
approaches and data. The workshop will take place in Bozen-Bolzano on the 8, 9
and 10 of February 2017.
We invite contributions on any of the following topics:
- Sociophonetics
- Social networks and sound variation
- Bilingual speech
- Phonetics-phonology interface
- Speech production and perception
- Articulatory analysis (UTI, EGG …)
- Phonetic corpora
- Modelling data (models and statistical techniques)
Abstracts are submitted during registration (using the page at
https://sites.google.com/site/sopho2017/registration-and-submission).
Abstracts have a limit of 200 words.
