Description:

This project will examine the interaction between languages differing in the
status of lexical tone, as is the case in Mandarin-English bilinguals. Some
experiments have been designed already and follow-up experiments will be
further designed to explore more. 

PhD candidates are expected to join us to work on topics in the area of
Psycholinguistics/Bilingualism/Second Language Acquisition. Your undergraduate
or MA degrees are in the disciplines of Linguistics, Psychology, Cognitive
Science or related. PhD candidates are expected to join a couple of projects
with your prepared training and knowledge. Mandarin speakers are encouraged to
apply. You will receive relevant training during the scholarship tenure as
well as the flexibility to take on relevant projects of your own choice under
the consultation of the supervisor.
