Description:
The English Department of the Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena invites
applications for a PhD position (TVL-E13) in the area of English linguistics.
The position is initially restricted to three years, but renewable.
The candidate must have an MA in English Linguistics or an equivalent degree
(e.g. General Linguistics). The position involves work towards a PhD in
English Linguistics, participation in the department’s research activities,
and a teaching load of one class per semester. The language of instruction is
English.
The candidate should have some experience in corpus linguistics and a
background in usage-based linguistics. Information about the department can be

regular mail to the address below. Applications should include a CV, an
application letter indicating research interests and background, copy of
diploma, and two letters of reference.
The position is to be filled on April 1, 2017. Full consideration will be
given to applications received by December 19th, 2016; but later applications
will be considered until the position has been filled.
