Meeting Description:
The Great Lakes Expo for Experimental and Formal Undergraduate Linguistics
(GLEEFUL) is an annual international undergraduate research conference hosted
by q Undergraduate Association for Linguistics at Michigan State (qUALMS).
GLEEFUL was first held in 2011 and is in its 7th consecutive year. GLEEFUL has
historically been held on the same weekend as MSULC, making it possible for
visitors to attend both conferences. Each conference features a keynote
speaker who is a current researcher in linguistics.
Additionally, we are also proud to announce a new series of workshops that
started with GLEEFUL 2014. These workshops are aimed to help undergraduates
develop skills that will help them conduct research in linguistics,
particularly in newer sub-fields.
GLEEFUL 2017 will be held on April 22-23rd, 2017 in East Lansing, Michigan.
For abstracts we are looking for high quality, original, undergraduate
research in the broad field of linguistics and language sciences.
