Meeting Description:
We are happy to announce that the 43rd Incontro di Grammatica Generativa (IGG,
Generative Grammar Meeting) will be held in Pavia (IUSS - Istituto
Universitario di Studi Superiori di Pavia).
IGG represents the most important Italian venue for discussions on every
aspect of generative grammar and formal linguistics.
Before the main conference, on the 15 February, we will organize a workshop on
order and direction of grammatical operations
http://www.nets.iusspavia.it/igg43/workshop.html.
This workshop will focus on the order and
directionality of grammatical operations (e.g. top‐down vs. bottom‐up, left‐ri
ght vs. right‐left) in order to discuss the formal, computational,
and empirical (including psycholinguistic) advantages of different
assumptions.
Invited Speakers:
Prof. Giorgio Graffi (University of Verona)
Prof. Luigi Rizzi (University of Siena, University of Geneva)
Workshop Invited Speakers:
Prof. Robert Frank (Yale University)
