 Greetings, Linguists!

The April 2017 issue of Speculative Grammarian—the premier scholarly journal
featuring research in the neglected field of satirical linguistics—is now
available online for your browsing pleasure.

http://specgram.com/CLXXVIII.4/scans.html

The editors and publishers of Speculative Grammarian are pleased to announce
that another issue of our esteemed journal is now available. This issue offers
many excellent features, including a handy guide to linguistic jargon for
dummies, a dandy diversion of eldritch intent, and a sandy conference report
that sets just the right tone—along with the usual collection of letters from
our readers, poetry (O! The poetry!), self-definers, book announcements,
linguistic propaganda, puzzles, advertisements, and more...

Unfortunately, the electronic version of this month’s issue of SpecGram was
lost when our data center was flooded. Our tape backup system also failed, and
M.A.Y.N.A.R.D. refused to help retrieve the lost data. In order to bring you
Vol CLXXVIII, No 4 of Speculative Grammarian, the interns have hastily scanned
a print copy of the journal.

Next time (May 2017), we will have another all-new issue of Speculative
Grammarian.

Enjoy!
