Central Institute of Indian Languages, Mysore is conducting An Advanced
Workshop cum Training Programme on Laboratory Phonetics and Phonology from
25-30 September 2017. The aim of this workshop is to showcase cutting edge
''laboratory phonetics and phonology'' approaches to Indian languages. The
workshop will be a fine blend of lectures and hands-on laboratory sessions.
Confirmed experts for the workshops are: Prof. (Emeritus) Peri Bhaskararao,
Tokyo University of Foreign Studies; Dr. Shakuntala Mahnata, IIT Guwahati; Dr.
Indranil Dutta, EFLU, Hyderabad; Dr. Somdev Kar, IIT Ropar and Dr. Amalesh
Gope, Tezpur University and Dr. Somnath Roy,, Melvault Software Pvt. Ltd.
Priority will be given to doctoral students who are working in areas relevant
to workshop theme. However, students enrolled in master degree programme in
linguistics/cognitive science/speech science/computational linguistics, etc.
may also apply. Institute will reimburse 3rd AC fare to PhD students and
sleeper class fare to M.Phil./M.A. students. Selected participants will also
be provided a modest accommodation on the campus subject to availability.
Selected participants must bring their own laptops (minimum configuration: 2GB
Ram/i3 processors/500 GB HDD) for laboratory sessions for the purpose of
laboratory works.

sending filled in registration form is 15 September 2017.
