ranked no. 1 in the world for NLP research (according to
http://csrankings.org/).
Primary research areas in ILCC include:
- Natural language processing and computational linguistics
- Spoken language processing
- Dialogue, multimodal interaction, language and vision
- Information retrieval and information visualization
- Cognitive modeling of language and speech processing and of human decision
making
- Educational and assistive technology, human-computer interaction, learning
analytics
Approximately 10 studentships from a variety of sources are available,
covering maintenance at the research council rate of GBP 14,553 per year, plus
tuition fees. Studentships are available for eu and uk nationals only.
Applicants should have a good honours degree or equivalent in computer
science, cognitive science, AI, or a related discipline.
