Description:
The Faculty of Arts of the University of Groningen is seeking an Assistant
Professor in Neurolinguistics (60% teaching, 40% research). The candidate
should be able to teach in the Bachelor’s programme Linguistics, the Master’s
programme Linguistics and the Erasmus Mundus Master’s programme in Clinical
Linguistics (EMCL).
The research of the candidate will form part of the Center for Language and
Cognition Groningen (CLCG) research institute, more in particular the
Neurolinguistics and Language Development research group. The candidate will
also be affiliated with the Research School of Behavioural and Cognitive
Neurosciences (BCN) and the NeuroImaging Center (NIC) in Groningen.
Specific tasks:
- teaching course units in the field of neurolinguistics within the Bachelor’s
programme Linguistics, the Master’s programme Linguistics (in particular
Neurolinguistics) and the European joint master in Clinical Linguistics EMCL
- supervising Bachelor’s and Master’s theses in the field of neurolinguistics
- conducting research at a recognized level in the field of neurolinguistics
- external grant acquisition
- performing administrative and organizational duties.
