Conference Theme: Exploring Professional Communication - Approaches in a
dynamic field
Researchers and practitioners in the field of organizational communication are
invited to submit abstracts to the International and Interdisciplinary
Conference on Discourse and Communication in Professional Contexts. The key
purpose of the conference is to explore and further develop organizational
communication from different perspectives and address opportunities and
limitations of the interaction between different social actors in professional
contexts.
Keynote speakers to be confirmed
Call for Papers:
We invite abstracts that cover a broad range of themes and contexts within the
field of organizational communication and professional communication. We are
particularly interested in abstracts that explore approaches and methodologies
for examining Professional Communication in context.
By bringing practitioners and researchers together, the conference provides a
forum for the exchange of ideas and sharing of interests across the field of
organizational communication, highlighting the value of the Humanities to the
analysis and solution of pertinent issues in business and society. The
broadness of the conference theme supports this vision.
The conference will be hosted at the University of Aberdeen, an ancient
university set in the beautiful coastal city of Aberdeen. There will be an
extensive social programme as part of the conference including a trip to the
breathtaking Dunnottar Castle.
