Abstract:

Das völlig überarbeitete und erweiterte Pionierwerk von Hanna Risku bietet
eine neue Sicht auf die kognitiven Grundlagen des Übersetzens und analysiert
aktuelle Entwicklungen in der Praxis des Managements von
Übersetzungsprojekten. Dabei wird ersichtlich, wie kontextabhängig und
interaktiv Übersetzerinnen und Übersetzer arbeiten und wie stark das
Arbeitsumfeld ihre Tätigkeit beeinflusst. Die 3. Auflage schließt die
Ergebnisse einer Follow-up-Studie zur Untersuchung der Vorauflage ein. Sie
zeigt, dass die Arbeit im Bereich des Übersetzens immer stärker technologisch
unterstützt und im globalen Netzwerk durchgeführt wird. Übersetzungen
entstehen heute in Interaktion mit spezifischen Software-Tools und in
Kooperation mit internationalen Expertinnen und Experten.
