Meeting Description:

The Research Unit ''Questions at the Interfaces''
(http://typo.uni-konstanz.de/questionsInterfaces/), which started in April
2016, will be organizing a two-day workshop on interrogation in Romance for
doctoral students. All kinds of methodological approaches will be welcome,
including theoretical as well as empirical working projects. The workshop is
intended to be a networking event, offering a platform for exchanging ideas,
methodological problems, and results with regard to research on Romance
interrogatives.

Several experts will also be present and give feedback on the student research
projects. We are pleased to announce our two keynote speakers: Jenny Doetjes
(member of ''Understanding Questions'', Universiteit Leiden) and Ur Shlonsky
(member of ''Wh in situ in French: Syntax and Prosody'', Université de Genève)
will talk about their previous and ongoing research conducted in the course of
their respective projects. 

We would like to draw your attention to the fact that there will be the
possibility of applying for financial support from our research unit. For

Call for Papers:

We welcome abstracts for presentations addressing any aspect of question forms
in Romance languages. There will be 30-minute slots for the student talks,
leaving space for presentations of about 20 minutes followed by 10 minutes of
discussion. Anonymous abstracts of one page are to be submitted in English as
PDF files via EasyChair: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=ri17

Abstract submission deadline: February 06, 2017
Notification of acceptance: February 20, 2017
