 Call for Papers:

Title of the volume: Populism In Present-day American And British Discourse

Editors: Ewa Bogdanowska-Jakubowska, Nika Bogdanowska

This is an interdisciplinary project whose main aim is to investigate (1)
discourse in which populist ideas are expressed, and (2) anti-populist
discourse in the present-day United States and United Kingdom. 

Populism is understood here as an ideology “that considers society to be
ultimately separated into two homogeneous and antagonistic groups, ‘the pure
people’ versus ‘the corrupt elite’” (Mudde, 2004: 543); a political strategy
and a discursive style.

We invite submissions from different disciplines, such as linguistics,
communication studies, cultural studies, political science and others.

Abstracts (up to 500 words) should be submitted by 15th February, 2017 to
ewa.jakubowska at us.edu.pl
