Description:

The Neuroscience of Language Lab at Duke University invites applications for a
postdoctoral scholar.  Our lab is affiliated with the Duke Institute for Brain
Sciences (BIAC) and the Linguistics Program, which includes a vibrant,
interdisciplinary community of language researchers with expertise in
cognitive linguistics, neurolinguistics, multilingualism, language
acquisition, language and aging, sociolinguistics, inter/intraspecies
communication, and cognitive neuroscience. State-of-the-art scanning and data
analysis facilities are available and located at BIAC in the Duke Medical
Center.  Research focuses on cognitive neurolinguistics, fMRI studies of
language(s), but also includes sociolinguistic research methods and
ethnographic methods. 

The ideal candidate would have a background in language and cognitive
neuroscience. Experience with fMRI data analysis and/or programming would be
beneficial. For additional information about the position, please contact the

be for two years, with a start date as soon as July 2017. Applicants should

 Candidates should have completed their Ph.D. by the time of appointment.
