Meeting Description:
The 9th Speech Prosody Conference will be held from 13 to 16 June 2018 at Adam
Mickiewicz University in Poznań, Poland.
Speech Prosody, the biennial meeting of the Speech Prosody Special Interest
Group (SProSIG) of the International Speech Communication Association (ISCA),
is the only recurring international conference focused on prosody as an
organizing principle for the social, psychological, linguistic, clinical
phonetics and technological aspects of spoken language. Past conferences have
been attended by 300-400 researchers including experts representing a range of
disciplines including linguistics, acoustics, speech technology, cognitive
science, neuroscience, speech therapy, audiology and hearing science, language
teaching, computer science, electrical engineering and forensic science.
Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, whose tradition reaches back to the 17th
century, is now the third largest university in Poland. With a population of
over 600,000 inhabitants Poznań is one of the largest cities in Poland. There
are more than 20 universities, higher schools and academies.

The conference theme will be ''Challenges and new prospects on prosody:
research and technology'', but we invite papers addressing any aspect of the
science and technology of prosody.

Paper Submission and Format:
Papers for the Speech Prosody 2018 proceedings should be up to 4 pages of
text, plus one page (maximum) for references only. Any paper with text on the
5th page other than references will be rejected. The papers must be submitted
via the Easy Chair submission site.
