Meeting Description:

CHALLENGES is an ongoing series of conferences organized by the English
Department at Purkyne University (UJEP). The main aim of the conference is to
share current views, new trends, innovative ideas and experience in foreign
language teaching and teacher education. 
The plenary talk will be held by an internationally renowned researcher.
We welcome proposals relevant to applied linguistics & education, ELT
methodology, cultural studies and literary studies. Further, we encourage
submissions from graduate students whose research and practice fall broadly
under the cover terms of ELT, TESL/TEFL, and applied linguistics as well as
cultural and literary studies.
A selection of accepted papers will be published in our series of ELT volumes
by an international publishing house.


Call for Papers:

CHALLENGES VIII: ELT – Through the Lens of Experience

22 - 23 March 2018
The Department of English at the Faculty of Education, Purkyně University
announces its seventh international conference for academics and practitioners
involved in educating teachers of foreign languages. 

Abstract submissions pertaining, but not limited, to the following key terms
are welcome:
- Applied linguistics & education
- ELT methodology
- Cultural studies and teaching
- Literary studies. and teaching

Abstracts:
Abstracts should be around 200 words, not including examples and references.
Submission ends 15 December, 2017.

Presentations:
Presentations will be 20 minutes in length with 10 minutes for questions and
discussion.

Conference fee:
