Description:

JTG is currently seeking a Program Manager to lead a dynamic, multicultural
team of language professionals in the pursuit of creating teaching, learning,
and reference materials in less commonly taught languages.

Responsibilities:

- Act as the primary liaison between JTG and its customer regarding all
technical and administrative issues
- Collaborate with the customer and technical experts to determine project
scope, allocate resources, assess and manage risks, and track and report
progress at both the individual project and program levels
- Direct the workflow of linguistic and administrative support staff
- Manage a large pool of independent contractors in order to develop resources
in a diverse and ever-changing set of languages 
- Oversee the timely recruitment and development of program personnel 
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and administrative contract
requirements

*The PM reports directly to senior program management staff and works closely
with senior level administrative personnel, but must be comfortable working
autonomously.

Requirements:

- Master's degree in linguistics or closely related field
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to lead a diverse team of experts both locally and at remote
locations
- Ten years of experience in project/program management, 5 years of which must
be on government contracts
- Minimum one year experience using complex fund and resource reporting
mechanisms such as EVM
- Ten years of experience in developing language resource products for less
commonly taught languages
- Minimum one year experience negotiating cooperative agreements with academic
or research organizations in the US or abroad
- Ten years of experience in applied linguistic research, especially focused
on less commonly taught languages

Preferred qualifications:

- PhD in linguistics or closely related field
- Authorship of published, peer-reviewed reference or training materials in
one or more less commonly taught languages, linguistics, or related area
studies
- PMP Certification
