East Asian Psycholinguistics: Recent developments will take place on October
15, 2017 at the University of Hawaii, Manoa. The workshop intends to gather
people working on various topics of psycholinguistics with reference to East
Asian languages such as Chinese, Japanese and Korean. The goal of the workshop
is to highlight recent theoretical advances in language processing, and also
to foster the scientific community working in these three languages.
The workshop will feature an invited talk on the topic of the L1-L2 processing
(Dr. Ian Cunnings, University of Reading). There will be also a training
session for the use of eye tracking methodology covering programming as well
as data analysis (Dr. Marcus Johnson, SR company).

Call for Papers:
We solicit papers for 30 minute presentations (including discussion)
investigating theoretical or methodological issues using experimental methods
(ERPs, eye-tracking, computational modeling etc). Topics of interest include,
but are not limited to:
Language comprehension
Language production
Lexical processing
Sentence processing
Discourse processing
Computational modeling of language
Neurobiology of language processing
Language acquisition
Multilingual language processing
Abstract due date: June 20th, 2017
We do not discourage simultaneous submissions to the JK25 and to the current
workshop. However, priority will be given to submissions that will not appear
in JK25.
Abstract format: Abstracts should be written in English using Arial 11 pt and
should not exceed 500 words in length (excluding references). A separate page
can be used to present experimental stimuli and results. The submissions
should be anonymous, with no author names and affiliations. The deadline for
abstract submission is June 20, 2017. Notifications of acceptance will be made
in mid July. Abstracts can be submitted in PDF format at:
