Meeting Description: 

The Centre for Literacy & Multilingualism (CeLM) at the University of Reading
is proud to host a week of celebratory events from Monday 19 June to Friday 23
June. Events across the week will be open to a range of audiences and will
mark the official launch of CeLM in its new form as an Interdisciplinary
Research Institute.

The events include:

The Art exhibition 'Point of Entry' by Duncan Swann, curated by Dr Federico
Faloppa - Opening 15th June

The Public Lecture 'Literacy development in multilingual classrooms:
challenges and opportunities' by Prof Rhona Stainthorp followed by a
roundtable discussion and Q&A with Prof Rhona Stainthorp, Prof Ludovica
Serratrice, Dr Naomi Flynn and education practitioners  - 19th June 

The Workshop 'Bi-/Multilingualism and the Declining Brain: Current evidence
and future directions' with a keynote by Dr Thomas Bak and Prof David Green as
discussant, organised by Dr Christos Pliatsikas - 21st June

The Workshop 'Language impairment in bilingual children: Research and clinical
practice in France, the UK, and the USA' with keynotes by Prof Philippe
Prévost and Prof Lisa Bedore, organised by Prof Theo Marinis - 23rd June.

The events address our 5 research themes: Language & Literacy, Education,
Neuroscience, Health, & Migration.

All events are free and open to everyone but registration is required. For
