Description:
The University of Verona has currently opened Ph.D. positions in the
Humanities, including 2 positions for Modern Languages and Translation
Studies, within the Ph.D. programme in Modern Literatures, Languages and
Linguistics.
The 2 positions for the curriculum Modern Languages and Translation Studies
will concern projects on a variety of topics related to the following modern
languages: English, French, Spanish, and Russian; the projects may also touch
on translation issues.
Selected Ph.D. candidates will receive a 3-year fellowship. Information about
candidacy can be found at www.univr.it/phd. Applications can be uploaded
starting from June 5th, 2017. The deadline for online applications is June
30th, 2017.
The selection procedure for the curriculum Modern Languages and Translation
Studies involves evaluation of the candidate’s CV, letters of presentation and
research project as well as a written exam and an oral interview. Both the
written and the oral exam will be either in Italian or in the language of the
Ph.D project. In addition, good English language skills are required, which
will be tested during the oral exam.
