Abstract:

Das eigentümliche Gepräge, das die Metathese der idg. Lautverbindungen or, ol,
er, el vor Konsonanten den slavischen Sprachen aufgedruckt hat, erweckte schon
früh das Interesse der Gelehrten. Keiner anderen lautlichen Erscheinung auf
dem Gebiete der slavischen Sprachen ist auch von Seiten der Slavisten im Laufe
des vergangenen Jahrhunderts mehr Aufmerksamheit zuteil gekommen. Nicht nur in
allen Gesamtdarstellungen der slavischen Sprachen, sondern auch in fast allen
Einzeldarstellungen einer beliebigen slavischen Sprache wird darauf in
größerem oder geringerem Maße Rücksicht genommen. Auf die wichtigeren
Hauptmomente der Entwicklung der Anschauungen möchte ich in dieser Arbeit kurz
eingehen (nach der Einleitung).
