Meeting Description:
The Student Association of Institute of Linguistics at the National Tsing Hua
University is pleased to announce that it will be hosting the 2017 Student
Workshop for East Asian Linguistics (SWEAL 2017) on August 4th. SWEAL is a
workshop for graduate students in theoretical linguistics to present and
exchange their ideas or recent findings. Abstracts are invited for talks on
any aspect of research on any variety of the Chinese language, as well as East
Asian Languages.
Call for Papers:
Abstracts for the SWEAL 2017 are invited for talks on any aspect of research
on any variety of the Chinese language, as well as East Asian Languages. SWEAL
is dedicated to academic exchange and enhancement of students of Linguistics,
and therefore the conference organizers welcome all topics related to Chinese
linguistics.
Abstracts are limited to 300 words up to one A4 page, including examples,
tables and references, with 1 inch for all margins. Abstracts should be
single-spaced and be written in English (12 font points, Times New Roman) or
in Chinese (12 font points, 新細明體). In your abstract, please give 2-3 keywords
to identify research topics and do not leave any detailed contact information.

later than Saturday, June 10th. Notification of acceptances will be made by
