“Word, Utterance, Text: Cognitive, Pragmatic and Cultural Aspects”
April 18-20, 2018
Chelyabinsk, Russia
On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we are pleased to invite the academic
community to attend the 9th International Conference ''Word, Utterance, Text:
Cognitive, Pragmatic and Cultural Aspects'', which will be held on April
18-20, 2018 at Chelyabinsk State University (Chelyabinsk, Russia).
Call for Papers:
We welcome the submission of research papers related to the following topics:
- Innovative approaches to language studies in the XXI century
- Linguistic image of the world and cross-cultural communication
- Discourse as the object of interdisciplinary research
- Current issues in translation and interpreting studies
- Current issues in language education
The official languages of the conference are Russian and English
Conference session formats:
- plenary session (30 min per presentation)
- thematic paper session (10 min per presentation)
- poster presentation
- workshop
If you are not able to attend the conference in person, you can register as in
absentia. Papers presented in absentia are eligible to be included in the
conference proceedings.
Accepted papers will appear in the conference proceedings which will be
indexed in RSCI (Russian Science Citation Index) and will be available in the
Scientific Electronic Library (www.elibrary.ru).
The electronic version of the conference proceedings, as well as the
conference program will be available on the conference website
http://linguist-csu.narod.ru.
All authors will receive versions of the conference proceedings indicated in
registration form (printed version/electronic version/disc) (1 copy per
author), as well as the electronic certificates for participants attended in
person. The conference proceedings will be sent to authors after the
conference.

Registration deadline: September 1, 2017
Paper submission deadline: January 18, 2018
Authors must register before they submit their papers.

Paper submission guidelines:
The publication is free.
Please consult the official conference website (linguist-csu.narod.ru) for
formatting information and templates. Submissions violating these guidelines
will not be considered. The notification of acceptance of the submitted paper
will be sent to you via email. No paper submissions will be accepted after the
deadline.
For paper submission, please send the attached paper to the following email:
slovo_csu at mail.ru. The name of the attached file and the subject of the mail
must be as follows: ''author’s surname_paper'' (e.g. Jones_paper.doc).
Please, note that accommodation and travel expenses will be borne by the
participants.
