The School of Languages and Area Studies is seeking to employ a permanent
Reader in Second Language Sciences to develop and lead a new Psycholinguistic
research Lab in the new Centre for Research and Innovation in Language
Sciences at the University of Portsmouth. The successful candidate will be
expected to conduct high profile research and make a contribution to the next
REF submission.
She/he will provide key support and guidance in the development and
co-ordination of the new Centre for Research and Innovation in Language
Sciences at the University of Portsmouth.
Candidates should have a PhD in a relevant area of Second Language
Acquisition/Sciences. A proven track record of publishing securing grants as
well as evidence of the ability to teach at undergraduate and postgraduate
levels within an area of specialism is essential. Evidence of the ability to
generate income generation and develop enterprise activities is also
essential.
