Subject: Call for Book Chapters: Vocabulary learning and teaching: current trends
Contributions are invited for chapters for an edited book on ''vocabulary
learning and teaching: current trends''. The manuscript aims to bring together
multiple perspectives from different parts of the world where English is
learned and taught as a foreign language. The manuscript to be submitted to
Cambridge Scholars Publishing will cover the following main areas:
- Vocabulary teaching methodology and strategies in a foreign/second language
- Vocabulary acquisition
- Technology and Vocabulary teaching
- Teaching vocabulary to young learners
- Testing Vocabulary
- Materials for vocabulary teaching
- Vocabulary Teaching and language skills
- Vocabulary teaching in different cultural settings
This list is not exclusive of the topics that can be discussed.

Submission Procedure:
Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit on or before November 30,
2017, a chapter proposal of 1000 words clearly explaining the aim and concerns
of the proposed chapter. By December 1, 2017, the authors will be notified
about the status of their proposals and sent chapter guidelines. Full chapters
are expected to be submitted by January 31, 2018, All submitted chapters will
be reviewed on a double-blind review basis.
All chapter proposals should include:
- Title
- Purpose of the chapter
- Theoretical framework
- Methods (for empirical papers)
- Tentative conclusions
- References
- Author: full name, contact details (including postal address), affiliation
Important Dates:
- November 15, 2017: Submission of proposal (500 words)
- December 1, 2017: Notification of initial acceptance
- January 31, 2018: Submission of first draft of chapters from selected
authors
- February 15, 2018: Revised chapter submission
