Meeting Description:

We are happy to announce that the 2nd Experimental Pragmatics in Italy
Conference (XPRAG.it 2018) will take place from May 30 to June 1 at the
University School for Advanced Studies IUSS Pavia, Italy.

The XPRAG.it 2018 Conference is organized under the auspices of XPRAG.it, a
research network founded in 2017, with the aim of providing an Italian venue
for discussing – at the international level – empirical research on pragmatic
processing.

Invited Speakers:

- Nira Mashal, Brain Research Lab, Bar-Ilan University, Tel Aviv, Israel.
- Mante Nieuwland, Max Plank Institute for Psycholinguistics, Nijmegen, The
Netherlands.
- Penny Pexman, Department of Psychology, University of Calgary, Calgary,
Canada. 
- Marco Tettamanti, Nuclear Medicine Department & Division of Neuroscience,
IRCCS San Raffaele Scientific Institute, Milan, Italy.

Call for Papers:

We invite submissions of abstracts for oral or poster presentations in the
field of experimental pragmatics, neuropragmatics, developmental pragmatics,
and clinical pragmatics.

Abstract submission deadline: February 2, 2018

The Conference will be arranged in thematic sessions and will consist of
20-minute paper presentations followed by a 10-minute discussion. Proposals
will undergo blind review by a Scientific Committee made up of specialists in
the different fields. We also welcome submissions by young researchers in
poster format. 

Abstracts should include:

- Title
- Name of the author(s)
- Affiliation
- Contact details
- Thematic line/s to which the submission belongs
- Abstract (Word format; font Times New Roman 12 pts.; single space; 500-word
extension, including references).
