Linguistic Field(s): Historical Linguistics; Semantics

Meeting Description:

In recent years, formal semantic research has expanded its scope to historical
linguistics and FoDS has become the main forum to discuss such work. Formal
studies in meaning change help to understand the structure of the space of
possible denotations, restrictions on possible interface mappings in the
constitution of meaning, and they are connected to reinterpretation processes
available online at some point in time and in a particular population
structure.
