Subject: New Editors at Teanga
We, the new editors of Teanga wish to announce our appointment to the journal.
The peer-reviewed journal TEANGA (the Irish word for 'language') was first
published by IRAAL in l979. Originally devoted exclusively to papers presented
at IRAAL seminars and conferences, TEANGA now includes the best of these
papers, as well as project reports, book reviews and other contributions in
applied linguistics. Many issues of TEANGA are focused on a particular theme,
although coverage of a range of issues is also maintained. Volumes 1-19 of
Teanga were edited by Dónall P. Ó Baoill (vol. 19 jointly with Mary Ruane).
Volumes 20-23 were edited by Jeffrey Kallen. From 2016, TEANGA has been
published as an open-access online academic journal, commencing with Volume
24. The current editors are Stephen Lucek, Colin Flynn and Úna Bhreathnach.
With all the Best Wishes,
Úna, Colin, and Stephen
