Description:

A full time post for a Post Doctoral Research Assistant with expertise in the
experimental study of language is available in the Centre for Language
Evolution at the University of Edinburgh.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious researcher to join an
ERC-funded project “Syntax shaped by cognition: transforming theories of
syntactic systems through laboratory experiments” (Principal Investigator: Dr
Jennifer Culbertson). This project aims to explore and formalize the cognitive
forces–across domains and modalities–that shape natural language syntax.

Ideal candidate will start in February, but start date is flexible.
