Meeting Description:
The English Department at the Higher Institute of Human Sciences,
Medenine-Tunisia, jointly with TATE, TATE Jerba, TALES, Tunisia TESOL and
esteemed partners, is pleased to announce the Second International
Conference on Language Teaching Pedagogy under the theme of :
''Reflections on Educational Reform(s): Teaching, Learning and Research
Perspectives''
The objective of the conference is to create a platform bringing together the
different stakeholders (teachers, researchers, ministries, policy makers,
students, civil society, etc.) to share their insights and research findings
in order to generate a debate on educational reform.
Call for Papers:
The conference welcomes submissions in the form of papers, workshops, poster
sessions and panel discussions on, but not limited to, the following themes:
1. Concept characteristics of educational reform ( Educational reform vs
educational change, Educational leadership …..)
2. Policy Vs practice issues in language teaching: local, regional, national,
or international issues of educational reform (national reform movements and
reported practices, curriculum adoption, assessment regulations…)
3. Evaluation educational system(s) ( teaching languages at early age,
language teaching at basic, secondary and tertiary education)
4. Professional continuing education ( Pre-service teacher education, Teacher
in-service: policies, programs, practices, workplace training and
development)
5. Program evaluation: (Education accreditation, quality and assessment,
measurable ends of education)
6. Linking research findings to reforms in language education
7. Community perceptions integration in educational reform ( role(s) of civil
society in educational reforms, patterns of public thinking about education
and education reform )
8. The changing roles of Learning environments, educational institutions,
educational organizations, educational administrators, educators, students,
parents…
9. Innovative teaching/learning theories and models
10. Emerging technologies in learning (e.g., MOOC, OER, gamification):
11. Defining and incorporating new Literacies and essential skills
12. Raising awareness of Students' needs (Needs Outside the School,
socio-economic, political and demographic context…..)
13. Glo-calization and Globalization in education and education reforms
Proceedings Publication Guidelines:
Manuscripts and references must strictly follow the guidelines of the 6th
edition of APA (American Psychological Association) Manual style. For the

The length of the submitted manuscript should fall between 5,000 to 8,000
words and appear in 12pt, single-spaced text, left-justified. Papers are
single-spaced, usually 10-20 pages in length. Abstract submission and
