Meeting Description:

Over the last three years, the LitCo (Literacies in Contact) network, a group
of researchers in the fields of linguistics, sociolinguistics, education and
history has been exploring the use of written language in multilingual
settings. The major goal of LitCo was to bring about a change of perspective
in current fields of studies and to systematically relate multilingualism with
literacies.

Meanwhile, new methodological and theoretical approaches for research on
literacies and literacy practices in the context of multilingualism have been
developed. At the final conference, results of this work will be presented and
discussed together with international researchers in the field.


Call for Posters:

As part of the conference there will be a display of posters presenting
research related to the theme Literacies in Contact. There will be a guided
Poster Session on 16 November 2017 at 17:00 where researchers will present
their posters.

We invite abstracts for posters (not verbal papers), max. 200 words, to:
mehlem at em.uni-frankfurt.de
